“Rhymes” is one of the few established, regular poetry nights in Birmingham, run by Lorna Meehan and Rogueplay theatre. This will be the inaugural night for their new venue, the Old Fire Station, and a wonderful opportunity to enjoy some al fresco verse. Here’s the blurb, courtesy of Lorna:
“Yes, you read it right. Weather permitting, September Rhymes will be coming to you live from the intimate roof space of RoguePlay’s new space. Bringing you the usual poetry goodness and awesome Raffle, but this time with a pretty view and some fresh Brummy air too, so bring a brolly and a jumper just in case and come get poetical!”
The other featured poets are Afrobehn and Lady Josephine Whittle (a.k.a Claire Corfield). I’m really looking forward to performing with the Brum skyline as the backdrop…
