The Hunt – live in Witten (@ WERK*STADT) & Arnhem (@ ArtEZ), November 2007

This clip, edited by video artist and VJ Myriam Darmstädter, is a mash-up of two separate live performances of  ”Polowanie” (The Hunt), as part of the Connect 2007 project.
The idea behind Connect is to translate poetry into other media. This particular piece came into being at Myriam’s instigation: she was interested in taking a text about words and illustrating it with animated typography. The poem itself was written in Polish with non-Polish speaking audiences in mind, and can hopefully be appreciated for its melodies and cadences; and anyway, Myriam’s video gives some clues concerning the contents.

A recording of a live performance, filmed during the last round of the  2007/2008 Hammer & Tongue Season Final slam. I haven’t performed this poem in a long, long time, but I am glad this recording has resurfaced: it was a great night.
